If you have a self contained unit with no need for power/water i would just stay at a truck stop, see campers in them all the time park under a light and generally speaking their is always activity or at least it seems like it, but maybe it is different cause im uses to it it being on the road all the time and in a different place every day.

I just stayed in Connuet, Ohio the other night, at the Loves there's another big one across the road also.
