Brandon, MS | Seems like every consignment auction I look at has some portable panels for sale. These are the heavy ones made out of oil field tubing. Make some with swinging gates on the ends.
The local FFA chapter here is constantly making "frames" for deer stands. It's nothing but two rectangles with angle iron between them. Cross braced with a ladder. Top one is probably 4 x 6 and the bottom one is probably 6 x 8. I think they make the whole thing from angle iron. I guess they sell them and the owner adds there own "house" on top of the frame.
I'd focus on stuff I could make out of structural steel. Something they can cut to length and weld up. And keep an eye out for surplus steel. You can take a lot of steel that has sat for a while, hit it with a wire cup brush, wipe it down and paint it and make it look new. | |
