I pretty much don't want to still be combining after Thanksgiving, EVER.      Its very very rare that anyone is still harvesting after Thanksgiving and the field conditions/weather are good.

Every year that I can remember still harvesting past Thanksgiving has been a year filled with lots of cold/wet misery.       Its kind of like the "nothing good happens after midnight" saying, nothing good happens out in a field after Thanksgiving.       Really you could bump that up to Halloween but that's being pretty optimistic most years.

One year I pulled on the yard Dec 13 and told my wife I’m done for the year. Corn was 26%. Combined the rest in April and it was 12%. Stayed standing all winter too, except for the west side end rows
