In 2009 I saw a few corn fields filled to the tassel with snow. Not just the border rows. That could not have ended well. In 1985 we wintered in in early November. We had 500 acres to harvest in the snow with mud underneath. Even had to pick some ear corn out of the snow for 1 landlord. I think that year took 5 years off my life span. I built a different drier in 1986.

If the beans are ready and over dry in north iowa , I’ll keep doing mine even if I’m losing yield.
