South west of Winnipeg MB | Not that long ago we swathed every acre the wheat would not dry stand it was just the vitiates we had now we have a bearded wheat and straight cut it all. Same with canola only been straight cutting that for about five years. Oats is the only thing we swath now. We just have soybeans left and they are about a week or so before ready. We would also drop the straw in a windrow and burn it we are big straw country with heavy black soil that doesn't break down the straw. It is a problem the next spring.

Just thought I would add the row of trees is the river and on the very right is a hutterite colony. They are expanding and seem to be setting up new colonies every couple years if this keeps up they will own all the farmland.
