8row and 12 row equipement

I ran through 5/6 dealer lots this weekend and notice all the new equipment being sold is 24 or 36 row planter, 12,16 and 24 row headers etc.

Where the heck does a small guy get 8 and 12 row equipment. I imagine this stuff is harder and harder to find used. I cant imagine new equipment pencils for a 1500 acre guy.

I also cant Imagine a 1500 acre guy using a 24 row planter..




That's why 6, 8, and 12 row stuff brings a premium, because "small" guys decided they didn't need it and stopped buying it years ago now, so what's leftover is bringing good money. I'll bet most of my 1500 acre customers are running a good mix of 12, 16, and 24 row planters...not many guys beating it out in 6 and 8 row planter anymore.
