| Before you tighten the tension springs for the season, put a wrench on the shafts that run through them and make sure the shafts move freely. If they don’t, you’ll twist the shafts when you tighten the springs with the screw tensioners and the head won’t float right. There’s plastic bushings on the ends of those shafts that can seize up. #2 open up the access covers on the auger and make sure the bolts holding the finger shafts are tight. I think they changed something on this in later models to solve this, but when I was looking at ones to buy, I saw a lot that had holes punched in the auger where the shaft had come loose. #3 under the left side, there is a v shaped support, make sure the bushings are good in that. I had barely any play in mine, and they caused enough movement that the wobble box support broke. I plan on replacing them every few years now to avoid issues.
#4 take of the s.s. Floor pan on the left side so you can inspect the mounting bolts on the wobble box. If the bushings from #3 are bad, these mounting bolts are probably broke
