Nothing high horse about him. If he ever stops you, he'll likely be one of the most respectful officers you ever meet, unless you give him reason to act otherwise.

Was just trying to point out that if an officer stops you 'for no reason' there is a chance that they could have just heard on the radio that someone matching your description just committed a major crime. If you are uncooperative, the likelihood of them thinking you may be the subject rises, and they will act accordingly. What may seem as a cop overreacting in hindsight (like approaching your car with his hand on their gun) may actually be proper procedure when approaching a suspected violent criminal.
