East TN
I’m going to try to wrap it and turn to silage. I’m just not experienced with the process and I don’t own a bale wrapper. (If anyone has any suggestions on brand/model wrapper they like, would be appreciated)

I’m east of the plateau that crossville is on, it’s only about an hour away but the farming conditions are actually quite different from what I understand.

How many cuts and roughly when do you cut triticale? I’m wondering if I can squeeze in a double crop of something in the summer. Sorghum Sudan looks like it has good yields, would like to eventually do corn but I don’t have any silage equipment yet. Perhaps rotate that with some kind of legume every other year to help the soil? Does this sound like a sound way to make food stock for cattle?
