East TN | Also the reason I personally was interested in triticale over wheat, rye or oats is I don’t have many acres that are flat enough to be tillable and I was thinking to maximize as much forage per acre as possible. Plus I think ultimately the amount I’ll spend in fert will exceed seed costs, especially on this “virgin” ground. (Was once a tobacco field but that was at least 20 years ago, since it’s been pastured with no effort put into maintaining the soil) | |
