Continually high insulin levels = eventual insulin resistance. Insulin resistance = insulin never going to low normal. Insulin never going to low normal = the body is not able to burn fat any at all.
Insulin levels is the key to maintaining body fat weight.
Sipping on sweet tea or soda pop all day long is the perfect storm to create insulin resistance. Insulin never has a chance to go low. Continual high insulin levels creates insulin resistance.
