NC Kansas | Those of you with '21 and up GM 2500/3500's with a crew cab short box, wondering how you are getting along with your gooseneck hitches in general. Back story is I bought a custom trim '24 2500 and it did not have the factory puck system in it. Fine, but negotiated with the dealer that I wanted a ball in it and they agreed to have a local shop they work with put in a B&W, which was no problem for me as they make great hitches. Truck shows up and the ball placement is 3-4" behind the rear axle instead of just in front of it. Then I discover that due to the crossmember placement under the box of the crew cab/short box configuration that a B&W can only be installed this way. I tow enough that I know it's going to annoy me for the 6+ years I intend on owning this truck.
Anyone else in my shoes? How are you getting along? Is the puck system better? worse? I'm torn on tearing it out and starting over vs just living with it.
