| About 5 years ago our son and family were going to host a midsummer birthday party with lots of friends/family/guests at their farmyard. The night before, after not getting a skunk all spring/summer in their live trap that they had out in their grove, they got a skunk.... and the wind was from the wrong direction. It was nasty. The next summer, same time frame, no skunks caught all spring/summer... the night before the party, another skunk in the live trap. WIFE WAS NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!!!! The nest summer, same party, my son assured his wife that all the live traps were tripped/not in use and they would not have another skunk to deal with..... until the morning of the party, they caught another skunk in a live trap. They couldn't figure out how that happened until their 5 year old son mentioned that he had seen the trap was tripped, so he reset it to help out.... and didn't have any bait in it, but set it anyway.
