Update: Electrical between combine and head was fine, E01 (header controller) address 24 (center height sensor) was reading correctly. I did not have the MacDon attachment frame unlocked when trying to calibrate - sensor range was too small for calibration. After calibrating with attachment frame unlocked it works great.
How to calibrate MacDon FD70 on Deere combine?
