Do you have pictures of the state of the fence before you did the work? That would give you a leg to stand on to at least not have to put it back new. If it indeed was crap, there's always used t posts on FB marketplace for half price, in an afternoon you can drive some used posts every dozen feet or so and halfazz string two runs of wire up.
