Subject: Durable can openers

I bought half dozen cans of veggies from Aldis that were”Happy Harvest” brand.
Took them home and tried to open with a fifty year old reliable manuel can opener. Wheel does cutting was forced inward and quits cutting in one round. Cans seem to be shaped very different and harder steel. All 5 manuel can openers I own are now broken and wont work. Had to resort to having to tear lid off with a pliers half way and dump out small hole.
Anyone else had similar problems and any suggestions for a cure?

Cans look good but open hard. Maybe one of those openers that cut the side of the can? Hate to wreck a new opener tho.
