I use one of these. Put very warm water (not hot) in it and blast into ear. Doctor used a big syringe. Do that about 3 times and ear is cleaned out. Do it over a sink or in the shower for when the crap comes flying out. https://www.amazon.com/Rubber-Suction-Syringe-Washing-Squeeze
