Middlesex County, Ontario | I use the SW Maps app.
It can work with your phone’s internal GPS but if you do that it will only be as accurate as your phone’s internal GPS. Ok for marking general locations but it could be off as much as 30’. That’s just the limitation of the GPS receiver in your phone.
The app has connection options for usb and Bluetooth GPS receivers, and the app can connect to an NTRIP base station. I use the app with a Bluetooth GPS receiver and connect to my own base station and then I have full RTK accuracy for precise marking. I often use this gear with the ATV for creating boundaries, waterways, etc.
Here’s a field with some stuff marked. Autosteer now drives around those pesky trees and berms automatically. I can turn boundaries on/off to spray or not spray the berms.
