Subject: RE: Plant Protection Conference in Russia

I will briefly describe the technologies for protecting winter wheat and corn.

Wheat seeds are treated with mordants based on the following active ingredients: tebuconazole, diphenoconazole, azoxystrobin, thiamethoxam, imidacloprid. The main harmful objects at this stage are fusarium and helminthasporous root rot, seed mold, bread fleas, bread beetle, cereal flies.

Herbicides based on 2,4-D, tribenuron and florasulam are most often used to protect against weeds.

Two treatments with fungicides based on tebuconazole, propiconazole, pyraclostrobin, and azoxystrobin are carried out against diseases in the morning. There are often problems with ear fusarium.

Pyrethroids alpha-cypermethrin, lambda-cyhalothrin, etc., as well as neonicotinoids based on imdacloprid are more often used against pests.

Corn seeds are sold already etched, so the protection technology is reduced to the use of either a soil herbicide (based on C-metallochlor, terbutylazine), during the growing season herbicides have the best results
