Different climate this far south of you, but corn usually takes on moisture in a rain of any amount here. Not to the degree that beans do, but it also seems to take longer to dry out after a rain. Aside from the wind that took corn down here, the hurricane rain was welcome here in September, as I was shelling 12.5-13% corn before it, and 5% beans.
