Subject: RE: Standing corn taking on moisture

Hillsboro, TN
Are the ears still upright or are they turned down?

I planted a new to me variety a couple years ago. The ears didn't turn down, they remained upright. It seemed to take forever for it to dry down. Every little rain delay it picked up moisture. It would almost get dry then catch a shower and raise 2 or 3 points. Needless to say I haven't planned that variety again.
