I guess it would depend on the depth of the wells and the quality of the water you get. On our farm it was good thing that easily paid for itself. We have shallow wells and good water. Pump water from the wells with a gasoline powered lift transfer pump into our water wagon. We used a lot of spray water raising cotton.
