All of my ears have been turned down for the last month. Maybe. Definitely for the last week.
Nothing like an upright ear with a loose husk to catch rain and then sprout and mold at the base. I have also dropped some high yielding varieties because of this, but this happened to me well before it's dry enough that I would start harvest.
