Windom, MN | Met my wife on Plenty of Fish. We matched 9 years ago next month.
So since I've been out of the dating world for awhile, I really don't know what the hot app/website is now. Is Tinder still a thing?
I tried a bunch of them. eharmony I had matches, but they were all far away and I had some nice conversations but they never felt right or ghosted me after a few days. Farmers Only was all horse girls or those backyard chicken types. Again, not many matches. Match was no matches. I even had a tinder profile for a bit but I was too old for that one, I was early 30s and everyone was 10 years younger than me on there.
If you don't live close to a major metro population, it's tough to get matches on any of these sites. Best advice I can give is build a profile on one, know what you want and what you don't want and go from there. You may get a bunch of matches and you may not get any. If you don't see what you like, find another app and try that one. Keep in mind a lot of people from these rural areas grew up on a farm and know about agriculture but moved for a job, so they may be interested in a farmer for a partner and love/understand the rural life but have a career that necessitates them to live closer to a bigger city. | |
