I met my girlfriend (9 years now) on Match.com. She grew up in the area, lived 13 miles away, rode the bus with my wife's cousins, but I had never met her. She is Lutheran like me, but goes to a different church, and neither of us drink very much at all, so we weren't going to meet up in a bar. The few bucks it cost to sign up on Match is some of the best money I ever wasted.
Of course, we are both "mature". What worked for me might not work for a 21 year old. Seems that taking college classes might be the best at that age. Something to get out and be visible. | |
