For those who have arthritis are you following the recommended diets? Seems all the foods I love are ones I should not be eating.
It has come on fast beginning at corn harvest . No swollen joints but pain & now I walk like somebody who milked cows for 50 yrs.

I supposedly had "early onset rheumatoid arthritis" in my early 20s. My knees started hurting in high school. Neck and back pain came along shortly thereafter. I'm not sure if was diet or my asthma medications but I suspect they both contributed.
Anyways, thanks to John Burns, I started learning about how our bodies work from Youtube doctors. Then I started reading books and medical studies. Decided to go on a perfectly strict elimination diet - nothing but beef, salt, and water.
Within a week, all my joint pain was gone and I could breathe better than I had ever been able to. Haven't taken a single medication since (going on 3 years now if I remember correctly).
Started adding foods back in to find my triggers. After finding a bunch of triggers (various synthetic food additives for the most part), I have settled into basically a "clean" ketogenic diet as I just feel and work the best on it.
I don't have time to dig up the research right now, but for worn out joints with bad inflammation, a strict carnivore diet may be extremely beneficial. But you need to read up on it and decide for yourself as I'm just a dumb farmer.
From experience though, about 3 weeks in to my original strict elimination diet, I was feeling great. One evening I "fell off the wagon" and ate spaghetti dinner with my parents. The next morning, I could literally hear my neck creaking as I got out of bed. ALL of my neck, back, and knee pain came back in 12 hours. A couple days back on the carnivore elimination diet and I was good as new.
An elimination diet is a good place to start in my opinion.
If you do, I am told the 'keto flu" can be a struggle. I never noticed it, but that could be because I was feeling so much better in general.
