I would assume the same products have different ingredients in other countries because of:
1. Different economies and availabilities of certain ingredients. Food is shipped all over the world, I noticed the Oreos my son got for Christmas were made in Mexico
2. Different tastes in foods(cultural). Then it would be a different product with a different name
3. More or less involvement by governments with respect to regulations. Their governments clearly play a role in it
4. Convenience. The US more skewed to ease of preparation and use. Some countries put more emphasis in preparation of food at home. The US fast food industry wasn’t forced on us we chose it. What dose convince have to do with a Crisco type product over lard in a store bought pastry?
Most probably many more areas of difference could be added. |
