The laws of diminishing returns also applies to the BTOs. That's how guys like Stamps, Boerson, McBees go out of business. Eventually, everybody is shipping corn by the semi load, buying fert by the semi load, buying seed and chemicals in bulk etc. When you get to that point, having to pay extra to pry rental land out of local hands and travel expenses eat up your profit.
