I'm assuming you have at least a couple of tractors to run mixer and load it. Do you have a shed to keep them in? Does that shed require property taxes, insurance, electricity, maintenance? Is there no cost to any of that? No repairs, nothing ever needs new tires? Hay equipment costs nothing to run or replace? Not trying to be a smart a$$, but many people don't really attribute true costs. About quit putting up hay myself because if I was really honest with myself I can not only not afford to put it up myself, but could often buy it cheaper as well. But even then hauling it isn't all that cheap. Just priced eight new tires for my trailer. Yikes!
