Sad thing is there are people still dumb enough to do business with them. There are a few around here that think they rule the world and everyone is supposed to bow down to them. Sad watching people let them get away with it.
Depends on who's doing the business with them. Is it the local welder guy who may not be paid or is it a large ag retailer who isn't held personally accountable for bad accounts?
I worked with a guy who was super shady. He'd get some sucker to be his "dealer". He'd sell seed for this dealer (who was on the hook for it when it went bad) at the dealer's cost. He blew everyone out of the water when it came to price. He'd do business with people even more shady than him, and they would often not pay. He'd get a big bonus for selling so much and no repercussions on him for the accounts who went of collections. If he didn't get a DUI he'd probably still be there.
