You understand how much you need to do to burn off the calories? I don't think that exercise is the main issue here. You look at pictures from the 60's people still eat meat and potatoes and bread with almost every meal, it was still Carb city.

If you were the average family back then, in pick any city in the country you didn't eat these three squares a day and then go run 20 miles after supper before Andy Griffith came on. People might not have sat on their phones, but they still read the newspaper or a book or listened to the radio sitting on their can. You aren't going to burn off a meat meal with fried potatoes, a vegetable, couple of slices of bread and maybe a dessert with some whole milk playing table tennis is the basement, but yet most weren't fat.

People walked much more back then. They didn't have machines and computers aiding or doing physical labor. You can't even compare those eras because life was so different then. Hell, they burned calories doing laundry and house cleaning that we don't today. Everything you did in the 1960's required more movement. You had to get off the couch to change the TV channel in the 80's. Once again, ill reiterate, its calories burned vs calories eaten. This isn't complicated but you've been brainwashed to think it is. I have a degree in kinesiology and nutrition. in other words I know more about it than RFK who is an ambulance chaser.
