Subject: RE: seed oils

Virginia, Northern Neck
I suggest that demand for corn and soybeans will continue to increase.

It does not matter whether people use corn and beans directly, or if they are used for animal feed.

We are a corn and bean culture because that is the most effective and efficient way to keep us fed.

From my perspective, the seed oil scare is just a sideshow, it will not affect domestic demand, or export demand, for corn or beans.

The best comparison I can offer is the egg scare a few years back.

People were told eggs were unhealthy, they ate fewer eggs directly, but total egg demand did not decrease.

The eggs were diverted into other foods, and most people did not know or care.

Just my perspective, as always, I could be wrong.
