N.W. Ohio | Absolutely you’re not the only one making money. I totally agree with you, this place is getting so depressive anymore it honestly sad. I’m old school with no college education. I tell everyone that I muddle through life, but it’s worked for almost 64 years now. We don’t draw up a budget and know our cost of production like everyone says you should. I have always just focused on reducing my costs (which I think II’m pretty good at). And trying to sell my crops at decent prices (which I suck at) lol. But in the end we’ve been fortunate to grow our farm substantially and move on to do it all again another year! I wish there were more marketing related posts here rather than the complaining posts about land prices and cash rental rates. But it is what it is. I wish everyone here a year of happiness good health and prosperity!! | |
