EC SoDak | Tends to happen. It all comes down to circumstances and situation. Not all paths are the same and circumstance makes a lot of the difference on ones’s attitude at times when expenses are high and commodity prices drop.
Do you have access to good but cheaper ground to rent? IE family or farmers that have cut you a break? Do you own ground free and clear? Were you brought into a really good situation. Did you start farming at a good time?
Folks that started farming in the last year or so probably are dealing with how I started farming (2014). Everything is insanely expensive but the commodity prices aren’t all that great for the expenses. That was a very stressful time and there wasn’t much for light at the end of the tunnel for a lot of years. So, I’ll let some folks vent and come at it with understanding.
Now, if you’re one of the ones that went around bidding up a bunch of ground at any cost to grow, you deserve every ounce of pain you’re in and I wish you ill will. Haha | |
