I don't believe that for a second. It's been a Ponzi scheme from the beginning that only worked when the majority of those who paid in died before they drew a dime. Give me my SSN tax and the employer half and let me invest it myself. I'd have millions I could leave to my heirs vs the pittance I'll get now that vaporizes when I die.
