Subject: transport for a baler/wrapper

Latimer, Iowa (north central)
We purchased a material compactor/baler/wrapper in Waurika, Oklahoma and need it brought to either Latimer, Iowa or at least as far as Iowa. Machine will be used to compact oat hulls for our farmer owned oat mill we are building in Albert Lea. I am hypothesizing it will work well to make weather tight bales that can be stored to use for bedding and feed. Anyway off topic****

There is no rush on the timetable to get it picked up. Consists of a Orkel 2000 bale wrapper and a pallet of additional plastic wrap rolls. Baler weighs 17,196 pounds, pallet of wrap guessing 2500 lbs. Width of 8'4", Height of 12'8", and length of 27'7". baler has a pintle hitch and a semi style axle (no brakes). My semis are not licensed to go out of state.

Do I hire it shipped, rent a big uhaul straight truck and pull it, or just try and avoid the DOT and pick it up myself with stepdeck (height would be pushing it...)???
