Sheridan, WI | Hello-
Was cleaning out the old silo room in the barn today. I found a bunch of old distributor pipes. At least that is what I think they are called? They are larger on one end and smaller on the exit side and have small chains to connect each section. The pipes are are about 4 feet long each.
The silo is size is 12x40 that they were used on. Would a person be inside the silo when filling to evenly distribute the silage? Seems like it might get pretty dusty of the person inside? Would these even be useful anymore? Where they effective to use back in the day versus hand leveling after each load?
Curious on comments from those who have used them. Thanks!
