Central Indiana | I have twin boys. The day they were born we started a savings account. We had 150$ a month swept into each of their accounts. At age 5 I was thinking that could be a pretty good chunk of change, and decided to move that money into CD's. It was more than savings anyway. Now they are 13 they are working here more. I pay them 15$ an hour, but they only can work 15 hours a week. Id like to open a checking account for them. All of the banks here won't let them till they are 18. I call that bs. They need to know how to write and balance a checkbook. Plus both boys are starting to buy tools now. Tool man only takes checks or cash. It's a pain to have to run to the bank every time the want a little money. They both have a 529. But we haven't done a great deal with it. I call bs there also. Add to edit. Congrats by the way. Being a dad is the coolest, toughest job
