| Congratulations. Everyone has different goals and situation. I bought both my boys heifers and ran them with my cows. They could retain replacements and I would periodically buy them additional heifers. I provided feed and all expenses. Tax deductible for me. Owning cattle gave them skin in the game. When the time game to sell they had accumulated a nice start at their college education. We dispersed the cow herd or they would have had a nice start to a cow herd if they were to chose that. | |
