Id like to open a checking account for them. All of the banks here won't let them till they are 18. I call that bs. They need to know how to write and balance a checkbook.
We had to have a sit down with the branch manager, they let my oldest have a checkbook before 18, we made him buy the feed for his 4H animals. Mostly uses his debit card now.
