Subject: RE: Cataract surgery- what lenses?

North East Wimmera district of Victoria.

I have had one eye's cataract done - that was down the track from a torn retina. Think 9 yrs ago at least.

I presume my lens is just 'plain' - anything else to be sorted by glasses.   Other eye does not need doing yet - not very cloudy. Optician says if the slight cloudiness is not any worry  - just leave it a few more years and see what happens - I am already 80!

For years [since the cataract op.] I have had graded lenses. They are fantastic! I think there are six' gradings from close reading to infinity. I just do not ever notice them, or have a thought about where I have to hold my head to see clearly.

My mind has difficulty understanding a 'reading' eye, and a 'distance' eye, but that's just me.
