Subject: RE: Quad/atv weight

Valley, NE

I run a 2014 Honda Rancher, 4x4, automatic, with power steering. We have run Ranchers since 2003/04 when they first kinda came out, and it is because they're a bit lighter for all around use. We fence, run irrigators, drag calves, haul buckets and gather cows on them.

I will say sometimes when Im really loaded down for fence with roles of wire and posts or have 8 buckets of corn, I wish I had a bigger/ heavier machine, but even loaded down, they're nibble and get into places a SxS wouldn't. The only other thing i'd be hard on them about is ground clearance, The older ones could take a bigger wheel and rim, nowadays it's a "kit" and looks more cool than bult for work.
