Malta, Illinois | That is the headline and that is what traders are looking at this morning. It is very unclear what all of this means but it looks like the adults in the room are starting to realize across the board tariffs on just about everything will spike inflation which is barely under control as it is and just waiting for an opportunity to run wild. If inflation takes off again then interest rates go up and pretty soon the economy is not looking so good. This is the word on the street today and it could all change tomorrow. Whether is does or doesn't I think this needs to be looked at as a selling opportunity in corn. We are coming off a really big crop and everyone wants to plant more corn acres this year. Not a recipe for higher prices. I am caught up on old crop sales and have sold some new crop and looking to price some more very soon. | |
