Cherokee iowa
I start with small bunks hand buckets to start for a month or so make sure everyone coming to eat. I bedding deep with ditch hay and corn stocks. Once they eating good I switch over to self feeders till they eat the whole self feeder in a week. I hate grinding that much. Usually 600lbs. Then off to the feeder wagon lots. I been finding out if I can get the crosses fat early on the corn then they finish good at 1625. Otherwise to get a good finish takes 1750. So much frame on crosses. Got some 1200 lbers half on self feeder and half on wagon mix. They look the same so idk what to think. I’d say do what works the best with what you have. And let them eat’
