Bought the first farm at 17, I’m 67 , still got that first 40 ,would be many many old farmers on here like me , every penny increase in all the land I ever bought is still in it ,you’ll find very few that keep other investments and reliablely put every penny of the increase in value right back in the market ,every penny of increase of that land is still in it and that’s because of the farmer dumbassedness in me , have many friends that have been investors as long as me but in other avenues, their in and outedness in their investments just doesn’t have the old fuzzy feeling of me looking at that 40 I bought in 1975 , like it or not ,other investments and investors are just different and as far as the big 20 percent annual return and that farm not doing it ? They sold an 80 by me the other day for 16000 , ( and they never called me ) private sale ,three years ago would of been lot lot less and I didn’t pay any capital gains three years ago to get out of that farm and put it in stocks that have been increasing 20 percent per year , so I don’t know , life goes on and as I’ve said many times , I’ll never have cash or stocks until I’m not able to drive to a good farm land sale next to me ,and I’m convinced those are always gonna go on , like I said it’s the farmer dumbassedness in me ,freely admitting that

Would you mind sharing what you paid for the 40 acres 50 yrs ago?
