Now. Not 5 or 10 years ago. Could barely get 2-3% then.
Correct, but that still doesn't explain why guys are still paying $20K+ for farmland while cash corn and beans are $4.40 and $9.30
The cost to own an acre of $20k land is $900 + property taxes, per year. That doesn't pencil too well.
And before anyone jumps on me wondering if I'm selling out, no I'm not selling out but I'm not looking to buy either. Any money that is available can be invested somewhere else for a much better return.
