western iowa,by Denison | we run a 1130-the 8400 works hard on it,will grind a bale a minute if dry,average hay-little wet about 30 a hour-the new 1030 would probably work better with the 8200 tractor,and the smaller tub will not bind as bad as the 1130
1980's i bought a brand new 1000,ran with 1456 ih tractor-took pto out all the time,went to 4430 and did not take any pto's out
the 1030 would be a heck of a improvement over the 1000 or 1100 with a better govenor
I once ground 500 round bales in 1 winter week with the 1000,heathouser 1456-happy days $5 a bale!It was 10 degree days-that makes hay go thru | |
