Subject: RE: Planting cover strips/bio striptill

Eastern ND
We have done it a few years with our 1895 drill with 10” spacing, plug every 3rd row in tower. Reduced rate a little. We have done rye going to soybeans mostly but also going to corn some. We feel it doesn’t affect the corn in any way this way. The corn is strip tilled and planted on 30” but the soybeans are seeded the same way with twin 10” rows and 20” skip. I do prefer solid 10” rows tho at a 3 degree angle to seed rows. Seems like a heavy rain on rolling ground and the water will run down the 20” gap and wash.
