Different kinds of "sealed bids" tho.
Cd you be more specific?
The one that happened here a few times:
Send in sealed bid
Top 5 are notified.

At that point high bid is told to all bidders.
Then you have1 more chance with a sealed bid.
High bidder has to decide whether to raise his own bud.
Purpose of this? Seller didn't want hard feelings amongst his neighbors by bidding against each other.
Now what has become increasingly common:
Internet auction and you have no idea .who you are bidding against.
In some cases you will never know.
