Never really know. We had 1 abort last year about 10 days after we put them on a new corn field. Shes pregnant now. Once every few years we'll have 1 slip within a couple days of preg checking. Don't put a lot of stock into losing 1, if you start having more call the vet.
A vet told me 30 years ago, "One abortion is never good, but it's not always a sign of a coming catastrophe. You'll lose one for no reason that I can ever find with tests. A second one is a trend you need to watch, especially if they're within a day or two of one another. A third one is a grass fire in high wind and you need help right away to fight it!" |
